In the Year 1947, Shri Late K. L. Garg the pioneer Indian
Entrepreneur founded a company, dedicated to production and distribution
of industrial oxygen, acetylene and medical oxygen gas. It soon grew into
a multifaceted organization covering manufacture and marketing of
acetylene generator, oxygen plants, arc welding electrodes, welding and
gas cutting equipment. It also diversified into engineering and sale of
complete thermal, hydro, gas turbines and diesel power stations,
electrical sub-station, power transformation, and medical equipments.

In the year 1988, the company was divided into two groups,
and one of the groups assumed the name of INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL
GASES LIMITED.

quickly broke new ground and ventured into new areas of
operation like taking up turnkey projects for design, fabrication, supply
installation and operation of gas plants, gas distribution systems. They
also developed dry and wet type flash back arrestors, excess flow check
valves, low pressure safety valves, high pressure Acetylene generators.
Growing from strength to strength we expanded our horizons and have also
diversified into distribution of various items manufactured by our
Principals, namely, HINCHEST LTD., HUNTINGDON FUSION TECHNIQUES LTD.,
NIKWAX LTD., & WPA of U.K.
- THE INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIAL GASES LIMITED and its associates are now
well recognized as an efficient group by all Steel Mills, like
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Tata Iron and Steel Co., LTD. (TISCO), Bhilai
Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant and Consultants like M/s. M. N. Dastur
and Co, Ltd., Metallurgical and Engineering Consultants (MECON), Center for Engineering and Technology (CET) Humphreys and Glasgow and other
companies like Indian Railways, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC),
Hindalco, NTPC, NCL, ABB, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. Bharat Heavy
Electrical Ltd. (BHEL) Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), Engineering
Projects India Ltd. (EPIL), MAMC.
